Syndrome
Diagnosis
Milk allergy, the most common type of nutrient allergy. When we say milk allergy, we mean cow milk allergy specifically, although milk from other sources may also cause allergy. As is known, cow's milk causes problems for a large number of people, effectively outnumbering milk hypersensitivity.

This type of milk hypersensitivity affects young children and infants in particular. It is believed that 2% of all children suffer from milk hypersensitivity. Milk allergy is manifested by the appearance of the following symptoms: skin rash, shortness of breath, sneezing, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea. The patient may also lose consciousness in some acute cases, or it may be fatal. Not all of these symptoms appear in all children, and their severity varies from person to person, depending on their sensitivity and the amount of milk they eat. Allergies occur when exposed to the causative agent. In general, an allergic reaction occurs within a few minutes and not after several days. The first symptom that may appear, is the feeling of tickles and stings inside the mouth, as it may be in the form of spitting milk or unwilling to take it in infants.

This sensitivity disappears automatically with age in more than 70% of cases. Milk tolerance begins to develop and develop at the age of one to three years, but it is also likely to happen in a more late generation.

The appearance of delayed milk allergy is called milk intolerance, Cow s milk intolerance, Cow s milk allergy type II, Milk induced enteropathy. This allergy also affects children and infants, and also automatically disappears in more than 90% of cases by the age of one year. In these cases, the response to the catalyst occurs even after 48 hours of exposure to cow's milk, the most important characteristic of which is vomiting and diarrhea. Without dyspnea, rash or fatigue, it is not a real risk to life and does not cause death. In infants with such conditions, the skin test result for cow's milk is negative, as is the special blood test. About one third of all infants with type 2 allergies are also allergic to soy milk.

Another phenomenon that can cause confusion and confusion with milk allergy is the phenomenon of lactose intolerance (milk sugar), which is characterized by gas accumulation and abdominal pain. This condition is more prevalent as we age, and it also tends to worsen with age.

Symptoms of milk allergy
Rash, shortness of breath, sneezing, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea; In severe cases, the patient may lose consciousness, or may die.

In cases of milk allergy of the second type, the symptoms of milk allergy are vomiting and diarrhea only. Without dyspnea, rash or fatigue. As well as without the risk or risk of death.

Diagnosis of milk allergy
Milk allergy can be diagnosed depending on the symptoms that may appear, adding a skin test, or a special blood test in milk allergy (depending on the immunoglobulin IgE characteristic of the disease). But the skin test is considered the best examination, due to its accuracy and low costs, and the speed of obtaining results.

In some (rare) cases, when there is a suspicion of allergies, a challenge test can be carried out, i.e., limited amounts of milk and follow-up. Most infants with cow milk allergy also suffer from goat milk and sheep allergy. Most people with this allergy consume vegetarian milk (soy milk).

The skin test for cow's milk in infants with type 2 allergies is usually negative, as is the blood test for milk allergy.
